It’s been a busy summer for me, with certainly lots happening. Thought I’d take some time and out and talk a little about what I’ve been doing with myself.

Unfortunately, my summer camp was cancelled in which I was hoping to complete the expedition side of my queen’s scout award. Unfortunate, but I’m not going to cry about it.

Instead of going away and I went to Matt’s for the week and helped out (with camera in tow!). During the week, we got his 1494 out the garage after refurbishment and did some light hay work on a New Holland 945 Bailer.

There’s a full feature story in December 2012 of Classic Tractor – including the use of this picture, look out for it!

While I was out working with him, we started the harvest, combining – New Holland TX34.

After my little week out of work, I headed back to normality battling with Windows! (I kid, NOT!) Working with Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8 – I must say are incredibly different to what everyone is used to I’m afraid but that’s life. I’ll be posting my annoyance no doubted on those!

It’s been a long time since I’ve done anything like this, it’s all very exciting. I doubt anyone will actually read this, but you never know. But anyway, enough of that.

Well, Hi. My names James, and this isn’t a alcohol anonymous meeting. I bet for many of you, your wondering what the fuck is he actually doing? And who the fuck am I? Well, there’s no point me explaining, you don’t care. (email me if you do). All you need to know is that I’m 20, I’m from the west midlands, I fiddle with computers, I like to walk up big mountains and that’s enough to get you into my friends list.

I can’t remember the last time I wrote something like and published it online. After all, I’m using a self hosted site and not some fad tumblr blog where I repost pictures of half naked humans in a distressed pose (although, I do like that now and again).

Life’s very different for me as it was a few years ago when I used to do this. I was a young, stupid and inconsiderate young man back then, and I’d like to think that I have become more mature like cheese or pathetic cider.

I’ve finished college and have a piece of paper to say I can fiddle with computers. I’m on my second job within the IT ‘marketplace’. I’m pretty good with boxes that say ‘Microsoft exhange’ on them, I understand what they need to get them smiling.

2012 should be a good year if everything goes to plan. I’ll make it a good year. I’ll always have a smile on my face. That’s the way life should always be.

Apparently not. According to a recent test I did – I have the maturity levels of a 22 year old. Great.

Everyday, i have my headphones in my ears to block outside noise and general stuff i don’t want to hear. I have two styles of headphones – i have headphones and earphones.

If you have headphones in while walking its ok – but what if you have headphones in while walking with friends? Is that what you would call “antisocial”?

Most people would, but I wouldn’t. I love walking to music, it allows to walk faster and in a better mood. There is times where i literally put them in to stop people talking to me and to allow me to work faster like in college.

Would you call someone antisocial if they had headphones in and you wanted their attention?

What about if you were with someone and they weren’t involving themselves in conversation because they were listening to music?

I’d like to hear your thoughts!

I’m Back!  I guarantee your all going, wtf? – yeah I know.

Over the last couple of months, i’ve been wanting to do web-design so badly, for instance, i’ve bought books and read them all about 5 times –  But due to my stuupid dyslexia, (its this shit thing where you can’t learn, really fun) none of its going in – 0%. So while i was peeing today i had a really good idea. this was: ”hmmm.. *ting* I’m going to make a blog and make it a design version world – yeah i know it doesn’t make any bloody sense.

I mean – i’ll make my blog theme, over the next 12 years, (no kidding here kids) i will learn to design the world of blogs and the CSS man!

This is currently version 0.1 (i’ll put that in the header) and i’m going to continuously update and manufacture my website. I’m hoping that the 9rules mafia will join in somewhere along the lines of it, but, still. . *end of ting* hmm..”Get it?

After getting my Nikon D40 Digital SLR I realized how well a simple and cheap single reflex camera can perform. The next step for me is either a camera upgrade or a lens upgrade. Now, which one is better for me? The problem is that the D40 has a limited range of auto focus lenses. So, If I wanted to use the Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 lens, it would not auto-focus due to it not having the auto-focus mechanism built into it. The alternative auto-focus lens for the D40 is the Sigma 30mm 1.4 . Which is a super lens – I have been browsing through pictures on Flickr and some of them are amazing. The other option is getting a lens with a bigger range getting the kit lens 18-135, or push the boat out and get the 18-200VR.

The other option is selling the D40 with the 18-55 and getting the D80 with the kit lens 18-135, and the purchasing different lenses.
